Formerly, SVP at SK Hynix, CTO at Adata, VP at Samsung.Young-Joon Choi was most recently SVP of SK Hynix (Apr 2013-December 2016) responsible for NAND solution division, leading the development of SSD and eMMC/UFS and managing 800+ people in Korea, US, Taiwan and Belarus to jump-start NAND solution capability of SK hynix. Before, he worked at Samsung Electronics memory division for 25 years as VP of Flash engineering at the time of departure followed by two year work as CTO at AData. a Taipei-based memory module vendor. He had an extensive experience and career in memory engineering, particularly in non-volatile memory from design, device, testing and reliability of NAND and solution products(SSD, eMMC, etc.), but also to technical marketing for product enablement, by which he could build up strong contact with major OEM's and customers and insights into market trends and dynamics. He was invited to industry-renowned conferences such as IEDM and IRPS as keynote speaker and an author of paper at IEEE Symposiums. He holds over 30 US patents in NAND design, solution product engineering.
