Maviq provides healthcare technology consulting services and software solutions for disease management and patient recall. Maviq's mission is to provide affordable technology solutions that deliver high impact results to healthcare organizations - improving patient outcomes while increasing revenues at the same time.• As both principal consultant and architect for Maviq, I spearheaded the architecture, implementation and commercialization of Maviq's patient recall solution, a web application (SaaS), built on a Java/Spring/Hibernate/MySQL stack and integrated with a VOIP gateway for automated phone reminders.• Led the planning, requirements, design, implementation and certification of a lab exchange network (LEN) that integrated electronic lab results from LabCorp to a large multi-specialty clinic’s EMR. The LEN is a secure web based application using both HL7 (Mirth) and webservices (REST) to communicate between clinics and laboratories and was built on a Java/Restlet/Spring/Hibernate/MySQL stack.• Provided technical and design expertise on disease management, laboratory results and patient reminders for OpenEMR's CCHIT and meaningful use certification project.• As consultant to the Community for Excellence in Health Governance, I managed their web application project, driving high priority areas with the vendor, decreasing defects and improving quality control to achieve general release. I serve as a member of the Technology Task Force, advising the Executive Director and Board in technology planning and strategy.

• Led a global engineering team in the requirements definition, architecture, design and implementation of New Product Introduction (NPI) programs across GE Healthcare IT products, resulting in estimated savings and new net revenue of $4 million.• Increased the annual revenue potential of Centricity RIS-IC by $2.2 million by leading the Paperless Workflow program, an integration with NCR’s health kiosk. I led the requirements gathering, defined the interfaces and architecture, and supervised the engineering teams from GE and NCR throughout implementation and testing. Paperless Workflow allows patients to perform self-service tasks and clinicians to fill out medical forms electronically, increasing staff efficiency and reducing errors. • Decreased software testing time by 15% and reduced errors on the product verification cycle for the Connectivity Framework program by architecting, designing and delivering the first ever platform for automated protocol and IHE standards based interoperability testing.• Formulated the plan and architecture to remotely deploy PACS workstation software on customer sites, reducing service down time by 35 hours per site and service cost by $600k while increasing customer satisfaction.• Evaluated and integrated various 3rd party software components to ensure vendor sustainability, product roadmap alignment, privacy and security compliance, and liability and IP indemnity to increase business value and mitigate risks.
