Green Man Lane Phase 6a - value = £11m [23 traditional build townhouses]• Overseeing brickwork and joist install through to roof install, internal fit out, currently at finals/decorating stage• Navigating challenges, such as receiving little input from M&E designers on how to run services to make their own designs buildable, especially due to fact that service voids were designed to be within JJI joists onlyResponsibilities included:Delivering Projects to Specifications and British Standards • Closely supervising decisions made by the MEP subcontractors, preventing delays to following trades and saving weeks of labour• Working closely with NHBC to ensure that we are working to latest tested details and had to closely monitor workmanship to achieve this• Preventing months of lost labour, material wastage and delays to projects by comprehensively coaching mechanical and electrical operatives through job requirements• Ensuring walls are built correctly and suitably fire-stopped• Overseeing remedials, creating actions to fix poor workmanship• Checking functionality and compliance to British gypsum, mechanical and electrical designs• Reviewing architect drawings on buildability and service runsApplying Technical Knowledge• Managing defects across multiple sites, e.g., lift shaft flooding, leaking balconies, non-compliant installations• Running first fix services through structural and fire rated zones• Furthering knowledge on renewables, M&E, district heating and working with statutory authorities• Expanded understanding of retrofit implementation through collaboration with subcontractor teams• Continuing professional development, e.g., through working at heights and temporary works courses Team Motivation• Communicating successes and simplifying targets, goals and actions, and delegating tasks appropriately• Creating an open work culture to empower colleagues to seek help• Introducing levity to the work environment to promote team cohesion
