Project managed the delivery of multiple projects into numerous clients on a daily basis. Projects consisted of a range of bespoke deliveries, from software application/banking industry changes, infrastructure upgrades and process improvements directly into banking and financial institutions across the UK and Ireland. A large number of these deliveries centred around the banking payments sector, while other involved document scanning solutions (ICR/OCR recognition and indexing), long term archiving solutions along with customer accounts migration and integration projects driven by the merger of some major banks in the UK. My development teams were spread out across multiple locations, consisting of staff both in-house and offshore and working at times with 3rd party vendors and SME's to achieve business goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for setting up the project structures and working with client’s project management teams to define project scope, core deliverables and business objectives.  Developed detailed project plans, logs, registers and development requirements to deliver the product vision. Responsible for directing the projects on a day-to-day basis and tracking the project status (using JIRA), reporting progress to both internal teams and external key stakeholders. . Responsible for managing people on the projects, ensuring clear ownership in project roles and escalation was in place. Responsible for budget reporting, recording of all hours spent on project to ensure project was delivered within expected margins. Feeding that back to the PMO within BancTec. Following a move to the UK as a result of a promotion from Software Team Leader to Software Support and Delivery Manager, I continued to work within the Customer Services division of BancTec, while my team increased in size to include engineers based in Edinburgh and London in addition to my engineers in Dublin. I took on the management of additional UK based customers within BancTec Customer Services division. REPONSIBILITES: 1. Ensuring continued service availability for all live systems throughout my client base by continuous system monitoring and ensuring best housekeeping practices. 2. Working with my customers to drive out further improvements to their systems and recognising opportunities for quick wins in terms of operational efficiencies. 3. Conflict management and resolution during times of system outages or delays in delivering software. Incident reporting and engagement with senior stakeholders following major issues. Providing a “voice of assurance” following any downtimes. 4. Management of source control repository and internal checks to maintain best practices were maintained throughout the entire SDLC for all software deliveries. 5. Liaising with Project managers to ensure resource availability and providing support in respect of any project issues arising from development. 6. Production of software quotations for upcoming Sales bids and smaller change requests for Sales team and Project Managers.
