In this role, I set the direction for data engineering in the team. This involves improving existing data engineering pipelines for speed, resilency and cost optimization.1. Project: User interactions data ingestion. Improve on the pipeline for streaming data ingestion by using Redshift's integration with Kinesis Data Stream. Furthermore, ensuring that new data domains can be set up in 2 weeks with the use of terraform and code templates.2. Project: Software rating. Built and deploy the end to end data pipeline which enables software rating logic to be implemented and tracked in management dashboards within 2 months. 3. Project: Customer Data Platform (CDP). Built the pipeline that integrates with ecommerce's CDP, allowing marketers to perform improved targeted marketing.4. People Management: Mentoring of data engineers and interns.

In this role, I use my expertise in data engineering to implement optimized and resilent data pipelines.1. Project: Datawarehouse project. Architected the infrastructure and code that ingests data and perform ELT for reporting. This reduces the reporting turnaround time for all reports used by ecommerce, customer advocacy and finance department by more than half. 2. Cost optimization: Decommission of redundant resources and optimized the use of aws cloud services to achieve 50% reduction in cloud costs for the team.3. People management: Provide guidance to data engineering interns.

In this position, I worked on infrastructure and code upgrade of legacy data pipelines so that business users can continue to receive the data insights that they require.My achievements are as follows:1. Project: Revamp kpi pipelines from a legacy infrastructure to AWS Step and Batch. Subsequently, results wait time was reduced from 2 days to 1 day.2. Change requests: Set up auto-scaling of kinesis shards using Cloudwatch and Lambda so that manual intervention and monitoring is not required.

In this position, I am part of the health insights department at HQ. I work with in-house developers and engage users to deliver project and change requests.My achievements are as follows:1. Project: Contributed to the creation of a new data-mart for TTSH and NUH in the domain of diabetes as a Project Manager and Business Analyst.2. Project: Contributed to the migration of Chronic Disease Management Datamart (CDMD) from SAP BO to OBIEE.3. Project: Contributed to the software upgrade and migration of data to the cloud for Chronic Disease Management System (CDMS) as a Business Analyst. I was involved in the SIT, UAT and Go-live phases of the project.4. Change requests: Contributed to the enhancements of CDMS (such as the modification of chronic kidney disease identification logic) as a Business Analyst. In this position, I am part of the site team for KK Women's and Children's Hospital. I work with a team of IT professionals as well as vendors to develop, maintain and upgrade web application systems used in the hospital.My achievements are as follows:1. Project: Contributed to the Assisted Reproductive Treatment System (ARTS) project as a developer. This system assists the KKIVF Centre in their core operations by reducing the use of hard copy forms for patients.2. Project: Contributed to the National Electronic Financial Records (NEFR) project as a developer. The completion of this project assists the Medical Social Work department in providing proactive financial assistance to needy patients.3. Vendor engagement: Worked with Medisys to enhance a medical imaging system used in the Diagnostic Imaging department during gynoscopy.4. IHiS Ambassador: Represented IHiS at NUS and NTU campus recruitment fairs. Ambassadors are chosen for their professionalism, passion, personality and poise.5. Project: Executed the role of a facilitator between the Medical Affairs Department and the developers in the team for the revamp of a clinical system. This system is concern with the collection of clinical pathway data for research purposes. Specifically, I wrote the requirements specification, contributed to the application development and coordinated the delivery of the project.

In this position, I worked in culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary teams to address important biological questions. My job responsibilities involve the analysis of biological data and the implementation of databases, web interfaces and analytical pipelines for high throughput data analysis. My achievements are as follows:1. Project: Design and integration of a bioinformatics pipeline for the analysis of second generation sequencing data of cancer projects. The completion of this project led to funding from Exploit Technologies Pte Ltd due to its commercial viability.2. Publication: Second author for the paper "Next-Generation Sequencing of Apoptotic DNA Breakpoints Reveals Association with Actively Transcribed Genes and Gene Translocations" published in PLoS one.
