Hello! I am yasmin*, an Afro-Caribbean eldest daughter, first-generation American, leadership and empowerment coach igniting collective progress through coaching and facilitation. I empower new and emerging leaders, especially BIPOC, women of color, eldest daughters, and those from marginalized backgrounds, to unlock their agency and power through embodied, life-affirming leadership personally and professionally. My coaching goes beyond the typical. We intentionally integrate somatic (body-based) practices – connecting with your inner wisdom – to principles of equity-centered embodiment, liberation through an anti-capitalist Black feminist lens, and behavioral neuroscience to dismantle internalized limitations and navigate systemic challenges. Together, we craft a path to leading authentically, inspiring teams, and co-creating a more just world.Let's disrupt the norms! Together, we can cultivate embodied self-discovery, leadership, and fulfillment, regardless of privilege or resources. Connect with me and embark on a journey towards impactful leadership.EXPERTISE:- Empathic Coaching & Facilitation- Inclusive & Embodied Leadership Development- Empowered Self-Discovery & Transformation- Dynamic, Experiential Virtual Workshop Design- Organizational Change & Learning- Certified Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®) AdministratorQUESTIONS I ASK:- How are we expressing our agency and where can we develop it?- What liberation-rooted concepts/ philosophies can support us, internally and collectively?- What are our own embodied senses of leadership and how do we harness them?- How are we integrating emergence? How are we moving through change?- How are our interpersonal, institutional, and structural relationships supporting or hindering for our wellbeing and embodied leadership?*curious as to why I may have intentionally omitted capitalization? - https://study.com/academy/answer/why-didn-t-lucille-clifton-use-punctuation.html https://newlearningonline.com/literacies/chapter-7/hooks-on-the-language-of-power https://theestablishment.co/bell-hooks-and-the-extraordinary-power-of-names-dcb1fe44ec29-2/index.html

Workshop FacilitatorYasmin Marrero, Leadership And Empowerment Coaching Oct 2020 - Nov 2020Curated and lead virtual workshop "Authentic and Impactful Speaking" for the Islamic Network Group in October and later in November for the community Business For The People. Workshop description below:"100% of presentations are made to educate, inform, and/or entertain. Conventionally, these presentations are structured with slides and leave little room for thinking beyond what is being delivered. It's reinforced that through logical delivery of information, we will achieve one of the three objectives that we set out for our talk. But let's be real, how many talks have you felt enriched or inspired by that have used this approach? This conventional approach to presenting leaves a disconnect between the three critical components of a presentation: you (speaker), the audience, and the content. Instead, I'm offering you an unconventional workshop on creating synergy between these three components to feel authentically in tune and impactful as you present. Expect play, stories, and connection in ways that offer rich approaches to the game of presenting!" -
