As engineering manager of Alexa SmartHome Cameras Products, I manage software engineers in global locations to launch on full stack software systems, including consumer facing mobile development, cloud and developer-facing APIs(launched Cameras PTZ API https://developer.amazon.com/en-US/blogs/alexa/device-makers/2022/02/physical-pan-and-tilt-capabilities-for-3p-cameras-on-echo-show-and-alexa-app ), computer-vision services and AI infrastructures. I also lead operational planning with business development and product management leads.

I manage the Data Science & Engineering teams in California, New York and China. We are building Marketplace Intelligence for sales org using Deep Learning techniques, data platform stacks like Spark, Airflow, Kubernetes, Front-end/GraphQL for application, to support strategic decision making for all sales operations in WeWork.Before that, I built out the Machine Learning Platform function for Applied Science, through recruiting and growing the teams of containerization, scheduling (Airflow), ML model inferences and training. As Engineering architect, I built out edge compute systems to stream events for IoT devices , on-device CV model inference framework and images, and designed architecture for embedded security, on-boarding & encryption of data at edge, as well as centralized analytics platform for Spatial Analytics

Leading engineering projects in Original Content Discovery, I built out the Content Management Systems (CMS) at Netflix Post-production area, including Elastic Search, Redis cachining, Cassandra as storage for all commits/edits to content post production, geo-tagging and meta data tagging for resources, which eventually supported customization for content recommendation for Netflix users browsing experience.

Built out the Risk, Operations and Compliance Engineering teams to 14 engineers including UI, API, Services, data & platform infrastructure. Expanded the projects to customer-facing API major upgrades, gRPC & service discovery, ELK for Developer Productivity, Risk & Fraud Operations, Financial data reconciliation, and Vendor Data Ingestion. Launched 20+ Engineering Show & Tell events as part of culture committee initiatives and platform for external blog and open-source initiatives.

As first Staff level external engineering hire, worked with VP of Product, head of Sales Canada, and Compliance & Legal team, I launched new payment product in Canada, directly impacting revenue growth. Later, I developed data streaming pipeline including partial-aggregation workflow, dynamic query to HBase storage, and Risk Metrics definition services. I also launched automatic fraud models training and go-live and expended the service to a ML platform, including feature store, models testing & versions control, and visualization. Contributed to Apache AirFlow Project.
