Lead cell performance risk analysis on existing product: Model 3/Y, Mega pack, Power wall 3. Define standard test matrix for LFP prismatic cells from phase A to phase D. Develop new test method and matrix to address cell qualification risks.4. Mentor interns to develop automation pipeline for test plan generation and registration.5. Support defining battery cell requirement for vendors.

1. Extensive experience on cell Design and Manufacturing. (1) HANDS-ON skills on pilot-line cylindrical & pouch cell manufacturing. (electrode mixing & coating, electrode calendering, electrode slitting & winding and final assembling.)(2) Design state-of-art cylindrical & pouch cells with different loadings, electrode chemistries. (Including NCM811 cathode and Graphite & SiOx anode)2. Deep understanding of battery material properties and performance.(1) Evaluated battery materials (cathode & anode active material, separator, binder material, electrolyte, etc) from different suppliers all over the world.(2) Built good personal & business connections with sales-managers/engineers from US, Korean and Chinese MATERIAL and CELL suppliers.3. Working as a member in Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Storage Team, Ford motor company: • H2 storage property development and analysis of energy storage material.• Thermal property design, development and characterization.• Analyze material- impurity interaction, combining experiment & atomistic computer modeling.• Transportation property analysis including diffusion test, neutron imaging process and thermal conductivity measurement.
