I am interested in the Control of Infectious Diseases with a focus on diseases that confer a significant burden in the Global South. I have over 12 years of programme management and research experience working in global health and international development sector specialising in infectious diseases, primary health care service delivery, maternal and child health, WASH, behaviour change and comprehensive community health programmes in Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia. My professional expertise is in the design, implementation and evaluation/MEAL of national health programmes providing both technical guidance and programme management support at increasing levels of seniority and leadership to in-country teams and government counterparts. My research expertise lies in the design, implementation and evaluation of behaviour change interventions. I am trained from the world's top academic institutions (Princeton University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine), hold a PRINCE2 certification and have published a number of peer reviewed research articles in leading scientific journals as a 1st author (see publication section). Hailing from Uganda, my work doubles as an act of service in honour of the daily lives that communities such as mine continue to lose to preventable infectious diseases. I stand for health as a human right, equitable partnerships and the decolonising of global health.
