Goals * Attract urban young men’s consistent voluntary participation. * Gain an understanding of our participants and their backgrounds. * Help participants identify their opportunities, challenges, and goals. * Build our brotherhood & leadership. * Develop positive warriors who understand how to balance aggression with respect, integrity, and ethics. Our Current Participants * Our young men live in the East Colfax Avenue area near the Aurora/Denver border. * Over 90% of our participants are former refugees from Bhutan/Nepal, Burma/Thailand, and countries of East, Central and West Africa. Many languages are spoken here. * Participation averages 20 – 40 young men each night. We provide activity areas such as: o Music recording studio o Street self-defense studio o Meditative/prayerful centering studio o Computer lab o Library/reading room o Kitchen We are located on the Aurora/Denver border, and are proud to be co-located and partnering with the Disabled American Veterans, Clyde Seiler Chapter 21. Organizing for opportunities to play competitive and recreation soccer; with further goals of building readiness in post-secondary education and access to employment and career.
