Barb Royal | barb@kidscangivetoo.com | Teacher and enthusiastic volunteer Turned Tech Start-up Entrepreneur, currently delivering professional content for educators as a National Professional Development Specialist for Catapult Learning. Additionally, serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for eMYRge, an entrepreneur support organization in Myrtle Beach, SCI have spent more than 2 decades teaching, coaching, and mentoring youth. After over 20 years in the elementary school classroom, I ran with the skills I learned as a teacher and my passion for building character in kids and jumped into the tech start up world, founding Kids Can Give Too, Inc., a company that made it easy for kids to share half of their birthday gifts with the charity of their choice.I was the founding Executive Director at eMYRge: HTC Aspire HUB in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, beginning the important work of laying the foundation for a vibrant tech and startup community and supporting founders of scalable startups at the HTC Aspire Hub in downtown Myrtle Beach. I have transitioned to the Board of Directors. It has been an absolute privilege serving as the Executive Director of eMYRge and I am excited to continue supporting our organization's growth and development in this new capacity.
