 Overall responsibility for the preparation of the requirements of the following:o Raw Material as per the production plano Ensuring ordering of material as per BOM released by Engg..o Availability of tools & machining lines as per the production plan. Ensure optimal material utilization and streamlining of activities by effective planning & coordination between processes and functions of Production, Stores, Logistics & Dispatch. Handling store activities-Material inward, storage goods issue. Undertaking stock valuation, auditing, and reconciliation for better inventory management. Intimation about rejection to concern person. Develop efficient and effective internal control systems, to keep track of the material in production and in inventory through Bar code system. Develop production schedule to meet customer demands, drive material requirements, and communicate with project managers on delivery schedules. Regular review with supplier for updates. Provide material updates to individual project managers for their project. Intimate individual project manager for items pending for ordering. Support for any site complaint related to material. Follow up with Supplier for faulty material replacement/repair. Carry out all subcontracting related activities such as dispatch of free supply material to individual vendors, vendor scope material tracking etc. On time closing of documents related to vendors such as “B” Challan, quarterly inventory declaration report, Excess material declaration etc. Conduct regular reviews to maintain inventory carrying cost to the optimum level.

Planning Activities:1) Strategies Quarterly Production Plan based on information received from Project management considering delivery schedules of customer.2) Preparation of Monthly manufacturing plan.3) Review the production, materials, methods, tooling, operating time, etc. in order to achieve required manufacturing results & intimating shortfalls to concerned agencies.2) Investigation:i) Organization & interpretation of information received from Project management Dept. Logistics Dept., Quality Dept. & Design Dept. for particular order. ( Study of whole order through SAP system)ii) Deciding what production steps have to be performed as well as where & when to perform them based on availability of in-house Capacity & raw material. It involves: a) Preparation of Machine load Chart. b) Capacity planning. c) List of components to be outsourced.iii) Calculation of material requirement from various agencies.iv) Preparation of Production Schedules.3) Coordination:i) To initiate action which brings needed material ,tools etc from various agencies such as Logistics Dept., Process Engineering Dept. to the proper machine & at scheduled time.4) Evaluation :i) To Review production materials, methods, tooling, operating time etc order to order to achieve required manufacturing results & intimating shortfalls to concerned agencies.ii) To translate the information to various agencies so that plant facilities are economically used & production requirements of each dept. are satisfied.B) Controlling Activities:i) Release production orders in conjunction with production Schedules.ii) Review production progress & initiate remedial action.iii) Follow-up: To ensure availability of all components at assembly end to meet production Schedule.
