Detail Engineering for Grassroots 90 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant located in Brazil with WorleyParsons scope comprising of over 1,200,00 Man-hours of Engineering. Area Project Manager responsible for coordination of WorleyParsons Electrical, Automation and Civil Structural & Architectural Engineering disciplines with VALE / JV management teams located in Canada and Brazil. Coordinating Engineering Interfaces with Client team members at VALE’s Office in Belo Horizonte and at WorleyParsons’ Office in Edmonton. Supporting modularization (super-modules weighing over 1000 tonnes) and module transport engineering coordination with International Transportation Contractor. Development of specialized project databases to support EWP/CWP and Design HOLDs management.

Project Engineer responsible for coordination between engineering disciplines (Electrical, Automation and Civil Structural & Architectural) and VALE / JV management teams. Developed, coordinated and reviewed updates for PEP. Coordinated the development of the Class 3 estimate and ongoing MTO compilation for VALE’s procurement activities. Coordinate EWP/CWP packages and the development of a tracking database. Petrom OMV, Ploesti, Romania – Petrobrazi Refinery Hydrocracker Unit (€400.0 M). FEED 1 and FEED 2 for Grassroots Hydrocracker Unit. FEED phase with an AACE Class 3 and Class 2 Cost Estimates. Project Engineer responsible for coordination between engineering disciplines, the client and estimating, developed customized databases and reports (through MS Access) using the ICarus KBase data for cost and quantity reviews. Prepared special reports for presentation of cost data for the client’s review, and prepared cost estimate documentation (AACE Class 3 and Class 2). Coordinated the development and finalization of the FEED and AACE Class 3 and 2 Cost Estimate packages.Suncor Energy, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada – Steepbank Extraction Plant ($800.0M). Grassroots Detail Engineering for an Oilsands Extraction Plant. Project Engineer responsible for tracking and reporting on engineering work packages, material requisitions, vendor documentation, procurement status and Level 4 planning for electrical and instrumentation engineering. This project required over 500,000 man-hours of engineering. The tracking and reporting was done through Access databases with the schedules being imported from Primavera using customized VBA code. Developed other various reporting and tracking tools for engineering deliverables.

University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – Various Biomedical Engineering / Ergonomic Research Projects. Project / Research Engineer responsible for executing research projects, including the design of specialized experimental apparatus, developing analytical solutions and programs for signal processing and statistical analysis of analog signals. Managed and coordinated Research Projects with other University Departments. Advanced signal processing techniques (FFT, Wavelet, Time-Series) and Multivariate Statistics (ANOVA, PCA). Programming languages used: Pascal, C/C++, VB, Python, Matlab and SPSS. Projects included low-velocity impact testing (whiplash), occupational & industrial ergonomics and biomechanical modeling. Over 100 research publications in various peer reviewed journals, proceedings, posters and books. Projects funded by grants from NSERC, CIHR, AHFMR and WCB (Alberta).
