Leading the Data Center Hardware Operation team consisting of,Hardware Design EngineeringSupply Chain & Sourcing Demand/Capacity PlanningData Center / Mission Critical EngineeringDirect a team of sixty hardware, supply chain, data center and capacity engineers responsible for design and qualification of white-box servers, vendor management, data center expansion projects, sourcing and deployment of hardware into data centers, and planning and provisioning of server capacity for cloud services.

Lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining a complex demand (capacity plans) and supply chain ecosystem for Twitter’s growing data center hardware fleet. Responsibility includes planning Twitter's Network, Server & Storage sourcing, and Manufacturing Engineering to plan, schedule and deliver server and network systems and associated capacity to meet Twitter's capacity plan. Manage vendor selection, sourcing and deployment of network and server hardware platforms to build out large scale hardware infrastructure for data centers. Design and execute on sourcing decisions to support infrastructure capacity plans. Create and maintain strategic supplier strategies, including managing transition of hardware platforms from traditional OEMs to custom/white-box compute and storage server racks with ODMs, resulting in significant reduction in total cost of ownership. Lead strategic negotiations, including supply agreements. Drive/manage TCO targets, tech-refresh decommission strategies for capital spend. Manage capex/opex annual budgets for hardware requirements to populate the data centers.

Responsibility for supply chain management (commodity management) of FLASH memory devices (Solid State Drives/SSD, Flash Modules, Compact Flash) for servers and blades; new supplier bring-up, manage supplier performance on cost, quality, supply continuity, and time to market. Manage RFQ and product award process; lead cross-functional teams to define AVL for NPI programs. Negotiate master supply agreements and award letters, and responsibility for strategic price negotiations. Accountable for overall procurement strategy for the responsible commodities. Prior commodity experience in similar role included managing ASIC/ASSP, service processors and Graphics.

Accountable for overall materials readiness for new and sustaining products for the Mac Desktop line. Lead a global team of Materials Managers and Materials Program Managers that supported the procurement and execution of supply-chain activities from new product introductions through product ramp at various contract manufacturing sites. Managed supply allocation to balance constrained components across products to maximize revenue objectives.

Responsible for demand and supply planning, supply chain execution management and assisting with outsourcing of product build operations to Asia. Develop supply plans and supply flexibility strategies in support of regional demand forecasts across all geographies.

Accountable for overall supply chain execution activities for Sun's Volume Systems products. Managed the business to meet key metrics on on-time delivery, short predictable leadtimes, plan integrity and communication with the supply base on new product materials and factory build readiness. Responsible for quarterly scorecard of supplier performance. Managed a direct staff of Sr. Planners, product manager and dedicated program managers at contract manufacturers.

Manage contract manufacturers and a team of supply planners to optimize supply-demand requirements, commodity planning, and key supply chain metrics on on-time delivery, material velocity, and material readiness, including product EOL management.

Support sales execution and revenue maximization requirements by coordinating product availability with operation teams.
