About Yohan Delton, Phd
My mission is to nurture Christian disciple leaders who know how to teach, build people around them, and add value wherever they go. I am a professor and department chair at Brigham Young University - Idaho, where I have been teaching and mentoring students for over 16 years. I founded the industrial organizational psychology emphasis and the William James psychology student mentoring program, which prepare students to excel in their academic and professional careers. I am also developing the "Psychology Student Success Program" while improving the scholarship of learning and teaching,. I helped establish the undergraduate Research & Creative Works (R&CW) conference. In addition to my academic role, I have a strong background in theoretical and philosophical psychology, and a passion for humanitarian psychology. I have worked with the Orphans' Future Ukraine Foundation for 12 years, providing psychological interventions and funds to help with the refugee and orphan crises in Ukraine. I have deepened the professional relationships between the Ukrainian Association for Work and Organizational Psychology (UAWOP) and my work, supporting more than 100 psychologists who volunteer and cope in wartime. I have expertise in the healthcare and risk management industries, where I have created innovative products to improve leadership and increase health and safety. I have trained CEOs, practiced mindfulness-based peak performance, and lowered employee stress. I firmly believe organizations serve people, build character, and strengthen communities.
