I'm the science writer at the new Kempner Institute for the Study of Natural and Artificial Intelligence at Harvard University.Prior to joining the Kempner, I worked as a computational neuroscientist at Boston University. I studied the interactions between emotion and cognition, focusing on how the amygdala interacts with other brain regions. My modeling work links neural networks with anatomy and psychology. I also do some statistical and exploratory data analysis. My PhD thesis was on the neuroscience of timed behavior.My expertise includes working with systems of differential equations.
