Automation specialist assigned to TiL’s new greenfield Hadarom Container Terminal (HCT), in Ashdod, Israel. The position is part of the project deployment team including following tasks:- TOS and ECS testing and implementation, with new Supplier in TOS market.- Testing of ASC equipment and Gate GOS/VBS in terminal integration with TOS-ECS, in collaboration with suppliers and local team.- Knowledge transfer and mentoring to Control Room users.- Specific input to TOS on Yard Optimization and Gate Automation (GOS, VBS, PCS).- Support terminal Emulation Lab on site for testing, training, and optimization purposes.- Technical support at Go-Live including mentoring users and fine-tuning tools.

 Led improvement and standardization initiatives across APM Terminals RTG gateway terminals, aimed at reducing process waste and reducing costs. Designed, along with terminal subject matter experts, processes and tools to be standardized among participating terminals. Projects involved changes to core operational processes such as vessel planning, equipment planning, dispatching, and yard strategy. In addition, participated in new initiatives in collaboration with the terminal´s commercial departments for improvements on customer experience. Followed entire project life-cycle, from inception and pipe-lining, to leading of workshops (kaizen events), documenting processes and flowcharts; designing tools and supporting subject matter experts with local implementation. After implementation, followed up with result and benefit tracking of established standards.

Responsibilities:➢ Led Resource Planning team to plan the terminal’s equipment assignment, manning and maintenance according to operational needs. ➢ Coordinate labor and equipment for operations based on vessel ETA and volume, rail ETA and volume, gate movements and yard utilization.➢ Forecast container volume and occordingly plan maintenance activities on container handling equipment, to reduce impact on daily operations. Similarly, forecast manning and training requirements to cope with future demand.➢ Finalize implementation of quay crane OCR and PDS systems (CAMCO y Kalmar).➢ Defect detection and follow up for ABB automatic stacking crane systems, to reduce equipment downtime, and improve equipment cycle.Main Achievements:➢ Automation of yard KPIs and reports of productivity, downtime, cycle time, idleness.➢ Continuous improvement of yard strategy, automatic crane dispatching and SW/HW defects.➢ Design processes, communication chains and built resource planning team that currently manages +500 Ops workforce at LZC, and manages equipment deployment of all cranes and horizontal transport in APMT LZC.

Responsibilities:➢ Designed yard strategy and yard planning processes for APMT LZC terminal, along with support on processes for rail and vessel planning. ➢ Experience with emulation and simulation software for container terminal operations. ➢ Tuned parameters for automated systems for dispatching and yard stacking, to maximize terminal productivity. ➢ Built business intelligence dashboards to visualize large datasets in a simplified, meaningful way. Later these dashboards were used to analyze data from real operations, to share yard analysis with stake holders. Main Achievements:➢ Successful go-live of APMT LZC, Latinamerica's 1st semi-automated container terminal, currently operating efficiently under yard strategy developed under project phase.➢ Green Belt certification, with a project focused on increasing automated stacking crane (ASC) productivity.➢ Used unsupervised learning methods (neural networks, clustering algorithms) and built data visualizations to analyze logs of automated decision making, to improve configuration (only container terminal that does this in the world).

Responsibilities:- Co-founded TOTAGO (Turn off the App, Go Outside), a startup / application focused on facilitating access to parks and wilderness spaces using only public transport, often hard to reach without a car. - Collaborated with a distributed team of developers, using Git repositories to update code and build new branches to include additional features into the source code.- Worked both the front and backend of the application, Android app, server and database development.- Designed and developed new features for TOTAGO on a Ruby on Rails server, using a PostgreSQL database.- Used Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools such as EC2, RDS, and S3 buckets to manage datasets for application, and run additional services to support main TOTAGO server on the cloud.- Used geographical and transit information from a variety of APIs, integrating different sources of data into a single, standardized database.Main Achievements:- In 2016, TOTAGO Won the SHIFT Award on the Technology Category from the Center for Jackson Hole, a non-profit organization focused on strengthening efforts for the conservation of public lands (shiftjh.org/shift-award-winners-announced).- Implemented machine learning algorithms to reduce server work load with clustering methods, based on map information, transit routes and stops, and user data.

Main Duties:• To develop Business Intelligence solutions for enterprises, focusing on analysis and visualization of data, as well as representing KPI’s.• To turn client’s requirements into executive solutions to better process and analyze very large datasets, and turn them into meaningful insights to inform the decision making process. • To provide on-site support for clients who required aid on their BI models and installations. Main Achievements:• Optimized the schema of a BI model for a major client in improving the response time tenfold, and automating various steps in the ETL process. This resulted in great insights for the client and the development of new projects to further exploit their business data.• Produced a proof of concept for a major banking industry client, in which key financial data was processed and analyzed. Due to this project the client agreed to purchase our services and build a BI infrastructure for hundreds of key users.
