Responsible for Procurement and Purchasing in Rotunda Hospital and ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance and value for money. Within 1 year of taking over from my predecessor, Covid hit the world and as a result, it all became about PPE while delivering day to day requirements of the busiest maternity hopsital in Ireland. I managed to secure enough PPE and managed the Covid years without afffecting clinical operations. Also sourced equipment for a new theatre that opened during the Covid period.Introduced contract management, developed a Corporate Procurement Policy, and sought and obtained funding for a Tendering manager post, implemented multi-annual procurement plan to improve compliance, value and risk mitigation.In material management, while managing challenging supply chain during / post Covid, sourced and delivered electronic replenishment app for 65 internal customerts within the hospital to enable seamless paperless reordering for all supplies in the Hospital. Currently implementing a RFID based replenishment system for the Theatre department.Introduced electronic GS1 asset management system, to enable our Neonatal Intensive Care unit to introduce "track and trace" of cleaning processes to aid our our IPC team.

My role involved Sales, Key Accounts Management, overseeing production, new product development, purchasing and overall day to day operation. At its peak, turnover reached over €3m per annum with 12 staff including production & distribution.

Aya was Ireland's first dedicated Sushi Bar opened in conjunction with Brown Thomas, Dublin.We were awarded the Seafood Restaurant of the Year by Georgina Campbell Guides in 1999, and Best Ethnic Restaurant Award 2008 by the Hotel and Catering Review. At its peak, we employed over 40 staff serving 2000 customers per week, restaurants in city centre, Sandyford and operated a Sushi Counter in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin and event catering. In addition, supplied supermarkets and deli's with prepacked Sushi.
