I have been a passionate learner of languages since seventh grade and teacher since college: over 35 years. I have been teaching languages online for about three years now, most recently using fairy tales as a context for learning German, French and Spanish. My favorite things in life are researching, reading, telling and making up stories. I also enjoys watching my learners become fluent in the languages they are learning and able to talk about culture and subjects of interest in the target language. My teaching goal has always been to encourage language learning with joy and to help learners reach their language goals: pass an international test, successfully skip a class that was impossible to attend or was necessary to pass in order to attend University in another country, write a book, etc. At one point during my years in Austria, I even taught English in a hunting lodge once owned by Emperor Franz Joseph. I have a BA in French and a BA in German. I have had courses in Teaching Foreign Language, Spanish and certification in CTFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and TEA (Teaching English in Austria.) When I am not involved with language related activity, I am taking care of and loving animals: Seven, Miss Piggy, Kitkatt and Luxus are my feline children. I am learning how to live off the land and going swimming.
