Yolanda Harper is committed to improving the lives of many through physical fitness & motivational speaking! Her gift was acknowledged at a young age, and continued throughout high school. This gift afforded her the status as being recognized as top female athlete in the DFW area in basketball, volleyball, and her favorite: track & field, and awarded a full athletic scholarship in track & field to the University of Houston where she trained alongside Olympic greats, like Carl Lewis, Leroy Burrell, and Floyd Heard. She also shared the track with some of the greatest women athletes, such as: Jackie Washington, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Gail Devers, and many more!Although being active is second nature to Yolanda, in 2009 she decided to take it a step further and established an outdoor fitness boot camp, The Fit&40 Crew®. Each challenging session was designed to motivate and inspire others to live a more active lifestyle; from the beginner to the more conditioned athlete, male or female. Her passion has earned her nicknames like Sergeant, General, and even Captain and is also demonstrated in her determination to empower you to LOOK better, FEEL better, LIVE better, and BE better! Yolanda believes in total well-being that includes being physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially balanced. She not only sets high goals and standards for herself, but expects the same of her personal training and boot camp clients. Her business tagline is, “It’s gonna hurt anyway,” –which explains the cost one will have to pay either by muscle soreness/discomfort, schedule changes, sickness, or co-pays, and prescription cost. In order to get results, Yolanda advocates a strong “NO EXCUSES” approach and is skilled in equipping clients with the necessary tools; even if it means turning everyday household items into strength and cardio building equipment. .
