I received my Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies with a concentration in Organizational Communication and certification in Professional Meeting and Event Planning in May 2008 from California State University, Sacramento. I have also completed some coursework in Business Administration. I have a wide range of skills, experience, and knowledge of Job Development, Conference Planning, Management, Accounting, Insurance Support, and administrative support. I have dedicated my efforts to meeting and exceeding my employer’s expectations. Since obtaining my Bachelor of Arts Degree, I have dedicated my career to advocating for people's education, employment, and health with barriers to education, employment, and health services. While at Sacramento Job Corps, I enjoyed serving as Career Transitional Specialist for the Medical Office Administration/ Office Administration Trade. I assisted students with diverse backgrounds and the ability to gain the tools needed to transition into their future. In addition to serving the students, I was instrumental in developing and implementing the partnership with Vision Plan Services (VSP), which led to more than 15 employment opportunities for the students on and off-center. I have worked on networking and employment development campaigns with Sacramento Business Journal. While working with students and employers, I assisted with the event planning of the Sacramento Job Corps Career Transitional Services Employer Appreciation Luncheon held at California State University, Sacramento, in January 2014.
