With over 15 years of experience, Yolanda Urrabazo has established herself as a collaborative and creative leader, skilled at spearheading high-impact communications and marketing strategies that activate communities and elevate brands.Yolanda is the Head of Communications and Marketing at McNay Art Museum, the first modern art museum in Texas, where she oversees the strategy for brand, public and media relations, advertising, social media, email marketing, web, app development, videography, photography, graphic design, and print.She’s held roles at various organizations, including UT’s McCombs School of Business as Director of Communications; The New School as Director of Communications, Alumni Engagement; the Fashion Institute of Technology as Communications Manager, Alumni Relations; as well as GQ and Stella McCartney as a graduate studies intern. Prior to her time in New York City, she served as Press Secretary for Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) in Washington, D.C. Her years working in Washington, NYC, and Austin have provided her an expansive community network of change-makers and creatives across industries. Her career has been rooted in a passion to ignite conversations that drive social change and amplify important voices in the world of art, design, politics, and education. She holds a B.A. in English from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. in Media, Culture, and Communication from New York University.
