About Caner Yoldaş
I started my career in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, which is my goal and dream, at Anadolu University in 2018 as an honor student with a GPA of 3.46. Throughout my university life, I chose courses on Digital embedded systems, especially in my senior year. In my senior year, I worked on the development and implementation of digital design architecture within a team for 1 year, on the development of an FPGA-based self-balancing platform design, which was my graduation project. In addition to the graduation project, I carried out research and application studies on different Cache architectures. During my university years, I completed two internships at TEI Inc. and ASELSAN Inc. on electronic card design and digital system architecture. My first professional experience was at ARTRON Design Inc. I started working as a Digital Design Engineer within the company. I worked on hardware verification of unique FPGA-based cards produced within the company. In addition to card verifications, I contributed to the creation and implementation of operational digital design architectures of unique projects. With my transfer to Aselsan, I took part in the verification of the RF & Digital infrastructures of the Radar subsystem units. I designed FPGA-based simulators for system-level simulations of RADAR subsystems. I conducted research and applications on the implementation of high-speed interfaces, data management, and storage. In simulator designs, I worked on designing flow scenarios with soft or hard processor architectures, as well as FPGA logic design. In order to increase the effectiveness and performance of the simulators, I integrated real-time embedded operating systems such as FreeRTOS. Recently, I have been working on simulator designs, system flow scenarios, and high-speed data manipulations.
Listed skills include C, Vhdl, Fpga, Matlab, and 9 others.

Digital Hardware Test Design & Verification Engineer
Current- Designing high data rate SPI and UART IP Cores in FPGA-based devices that communicate with high-speed interfaces. Making PS/PL designs in FPGA using MicroBlaze soft core-based C/C++ languages. In addition, debugging communication buses(Hi-Speed LVDS, etc.) using an oscilloscope together with system-ila. - Designing real-time simulators for operational testing of CPU-based modules. Running MicroBlaze-based FreeRTOS operating system in FPGA-based systems and designing custom Ip Cores to simulate the real system and peripheral units that the processor communicates. Configuring DDR Memory over MIG Interface to store meaningful data and prevent data loss during high-speed data flow. Designing circular buffer structures by dividing them into memory-appropriate areas over DMA. - I designed a Vitis-HLS based IP core with M-AXI interface to provide real-time data flow. I transferred the parameter sets I created from the GUI I designed on the PC to the ZYNQ-US+ development board via TCP-IP protocol over Ethernet. Then, I configured the simulator by saving the parameters in a certain hierarchical order to the relevant PS Memory of the card. IP-Core directly reaches the appropriate address of PS-Memory and transports the data to the operational unit via Fiber interface over AURORA IP Core during mission-critical times. The burst data transfer of the relevant IP Core and the on and off states of the DDR were carefully tested and transferred to the system. - Drawing flow diagrams of developed digital design projects, and preparation of digital design architecture documents. Preparing and documenting the register maps of the developed custom IP cores.
Electronic Test Design Engineer
- Designing RF test infrastructures by planning tests such as spurious, phase noise, and output power of modules such as signal generators and synthesizers in Radar Subsystems. Using radar parameter analysis tools, s-parameter measurements with a network analyzer, noise figure test, and measurement infrastructure development for the far and near field characterizations/measurements of radars. - To be used in production tests; Designing automatic test user interfaces based on C# language by communicating via Ethernet and GPIB with measurement test devices such as power supplies, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. - Designing FPGA-based appliances for communication infrastructures with high-speed interfaces such as Fiber, LVDS, and MLVDS in radar subsystems.
Digital Design Engineer
- I took part in the design of an IP Core to run on an FPGA module for the testing of ADC modules in the motor driver unit design project. In the same project, I wrote the test procedures for the driver unit and performed the hardware tests.- I took part in the digital design team in the CYGNUS processor design project. To prepare a design procedure for the tests of memory units (DDR, QSPI, eMMC) and Communication interfaces (UART, IIC, SPI, RS485, RS422) in the processor. I designed the IP Cores to be used in ZYNQ 7000 and Zynq US + processor families for testing HDMI and CameraLink video transfer protocols. I worked in the preparation of the electrical and mechanical test infrastructure of the hardware.
Systems Engineer
- I worked as a system engineer in the missile communication unit design project. I managed the verification and verification processes by designing infrastructures for functionality and environmental tests.- I worked as a system design engineer in the inertial measurement unit project. I took part in the creation of sensor models of accelerometers and gyro sensors using MATLAB/Simulink. I worked with the hardware design team in preparing the hardware test procedures and tests. I participated in the calibration and performance tests of the IMU assembly.
Intern
- Learned basics about image processing fundamentals.- Designing hardware blocks on FPGA-based embedded systems by using VHDL. - Designing testbench algorithms and the hardware blocks testing by using the ModelSim.
Intern
- Researched the main principles Analog Integrated Circuit Design.- Learned Proteus, designed PCB schematics for Turbojet Engine Test Stand.
