Advise on all legal aspects of employment and labor law issues, including recruiting, hiring, employee relations, performance management, leaves of absence, workplace accommodations, wage and hour, internal investigations, compensation and benefits, employee privacy, contingent workforce issues, terminations, diversity and inclusion. Manage employment-related investigations, claims, administrative complaints, audits, and other inquiries. Manage labor and employment litigation matters with in-house and outside litigation counsel. Collaborate with local counsel in multiple countries to advise management on international employment and immigration issues.

Successfully represented employers in courts and before various government agencies, including the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the California Labor Commissioner. Litigated all types of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, failure to accommodate, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract, violation of California Family Rights Act, misappropriation of trade secrets, and wage and hour violations. Provided advice and counseling to employers on all aspects of the employment relationship in order to avoid potential legal disputes. Advised employers on the myriad legal requirements facing California employers including anti-discrimination and harassment laws, family and medical leave laws, wage and hour compliance, and proper classification of independent contractors and exempt employees. Conducted audits of clients' employment practices, policies and agreements to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, and drafted employee handbooks and personnel policies, and employment, arbitration, confidentiality and severance agreements.

Served as an editor and contributing author for the California Employment Law Letter, a semi-monthly newsletter published BLR that focused on current federal and California court decisions and legislation affecting California employers. Oversaw the California content for "50 Employment Law in 50 States" reference guide published by BLR.
