    I was the founding executive of Newbury Networks, recruited by idealab Boston to build up a company in the "Bluetooth middleware space". Within a few months, we shifted focus to wireless networking (WLAN). The core technology developed revolved around the use of the wireless network essentially as "in-building GPS", detecting the spatial location of WLAN client devices with high-accuracy and enabling location-based services and functionality.The key product out of this technology is "Wifi Watchdog", which adds a location-based access control to a wireless network.
