The first Asian American to serve on the organization’s senior management team. Led its fundraising operation and built strategic partnerships. Supervised senior Chinese and U.S. leader events. Increased annual giving to over $4.6 million (amount directly raised by a three-person development team), closed 7-figure foundation grants, strengthened corporate programs, managed special events (500-person over $2.7 million Gala in 2019; innovative virtual events in 2020; over $2.6 million in-person Gala during COVID-19 in 2021 and honored the first Chinese-American business leader in its history; Gala design featuring a conversation with USTR in 2022), and successfully cultivated prominent individuals to serve on the board including leaders at BlackRock, Bridgewater, Citadel, Citi, and Invesco. Founded in 1966, NCUSCR is America’s oldest organization dealing with U.S.-China relations and promotes mutual understanding between citizens of the United States and Greater China. It played a leading role in Ping Pong Diplomacy by co-hosting the 1972 U.S. visit of the Chinese table tennis team, and has since hosted major events for every senior Chinese leader visiting the U.S. from Deng Xiaoping to Xi Jinping.
