Yoojin Oh is a Los Angeles-based artist and arts administrator with a multi-disciplinary creative practice (visual art, film/video, sound production, poetry) centered around exploring the overlaps between personal and cultural identity as a first-generation Korean American. Her administrative practice aims to develop greater accessibility for and representation of BIPOC communities within the art world, specifically through arts education and community engagement programming and events. Yoojin has previously supported the Chicago Park District’s Cultural Asset Mapping Project (C.A.M.P.) in expanding entries into their community storytelling and data visualization project. Launched in 2020, the Cultural Asset Map, composed of the Chicago Creatives Network Survey and Neighborhood Storytelling Survey, highlights the diversity of arts and culture happenings throughout the South and West sides of Chicago. She has also led and moderated critique discussions with a world-wide community of online learners through Kadenze Inc.’s art and technology courses, while additionally improving user engagement and interface design among Kadenze’s catalogue of courses.
