A pioneering digital healthcare professional with interdisciplinary expertise across biotechnology, computer science, and medicine. I am driven by a passion for advancing healthcare innovation through the integration of healthcare and digital technology, with a particular focus on investing in and accelerating early-stage digital healthcare startups.With extensive experience in digital healthcare, bioinformatics, computational biology, and cancer biology, I have authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications, including a first-author paper in Science, with my work collectively cited hundreds of times. I also served on the Editorial Board of npj Digital Medicine, contributing insights on the latest advancements in the field.In 2016, I co-founded Digital Healthcare Partners, South Korea’s first and only healthcare-focused startup accelerator, which has successfully invested in and supported over 45 promising digital health startups.As a thought leader in digital healthcare, I have actively shared insights through my blog, "최윤섭의 디지털 헬스케어" (http://www.yoonsupchoi.com), one of South Korea’s pioneering platforms in the field since 2014. I am also the author of best-selling books, including Healthcare Innovation (#1 in Trend/Future in Korea, 2014), Medical AI (#14 in Business, 2018), and Digital Healthcare: The Future of Medicine (#21 in Business, 2020). I have contributed regularly as a columnist for Korea’s leading economic newspapers, Korea Economic Daily and Maeil Business Newspaper, and currently write a column on digital healthcare and startups for Money Today.I hold a Ph.D. in Computational Biology and a dual B.S. in Computer Science and Life Science from POSTECH. My career path includes research at Stanford University, a professorship at the Cancer Research Institute of Seoul National University College of Medicine (awarded at age 28), and a role as Project Manager in KT’s Healthcare Group within the Advanced Institute of Technology, where I was the youngest in the position.Currently, I serve as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Yonsei University College of Medicine, an advisor to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), and a non-executive director at the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED).
