Yoram Ish-Hurwitz is a classical pianist and cultural entrepreneur. He began his piano studies with Danièle Dechenne and Jan Wijn at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. After graduating, he continued his studies at the Juilliard School in New York with the Hungarian pianist György Sándor and Karl-Heinz Kämmerling at the Musikhochschule in Hanover.During the years he won several awards, gave solo and chamber music concerts throughout Europe and the Americas and released numerous solo CDs, including the complete 'Années de Pèlerinage' by Franz Liszt, the complete 'Iberia' by Isaac Albéniz, and a Mozart album with violinist Noa Wildschut for Warner Classics.Since 2010 Yoram is the artistic director of Oranjewoud Festival, a classical music festival in Friesland, The Netherlands, hosting hundreds of musicians from all around the world every year, and reaching out to new audiences with innovative projects. He is also member of numerous juries of competitions and committees within the cultural sector.
