1. Research on topics related with precipitation, clouds, lightnings, among others:- Explored XGBoost models to forecast electric activity in Medellín, Colombia.- Investigated convective precipitation and its relationship with clouds and lightnings using several remote sensors like ABI onboard GOES16 satellite, meteorological radar, radiometer, among others. 2. Development of operational products based on remote sensing data for atmosphere monitoring and risk management:- Performed reception, analysis and storage (SQL database) of data coming from GOES16 satellite data.- Produced operational products for monitoring the electrical activity in Medellín, Colombia.- Investigated applications of different satellite spectral images on management risk in the area of Medellín, Colombia, like air pollution monitoring, convection, clouds, among others.- Generated periodic and extraordinary statistical analysis of environmental variables aiming to help public sector to make decisions.

Validated outputs of a numerical atmosphere‑ocean coupled model (WRF‑CROCO) aiming to tune parameters that better fit historical data over the Colombian Caribbean Sea.3. Strategies included autoregressive schemes, mode decomposition of data series, machine learning, among others.2. Performed statistical analysis to evaluate future climate scenarios inside the basins of ISAGEN’s hydroelectric power stations by studying data from CMIP5 climate models.
