Ruth Yoshie Linton is a singer turned independent film producer whose most recent films include Naomi Kawase’s “Vision” starring Juliette Binoche (2018, Japan/France), Ida Panahandeh’s “The Nikaido’s Fall” (2019, Japan/HK), and Arsalan Amiri’s “Zalava” (2021, Iran/HK/Sweden), which held its world premier and won Grand Prize at Venice International Critics' Week, the Fipresci Award at the Venice International Film Festival, and held its North American premier at the Toronto International Film Festival. Aside from producing, Ruth is also part of the Nara International Festival selection committee in Japan.
