Hr Specialist
Current-Supervises the receptionist, delegates projects as appropriate and ensures coverage of switchboard in the receptionist’s absence-Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference-Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss needs.-Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations.-Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.-Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; contacting recruiters, using newsgroups and job sites.-Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; verifying references; comparing qualifications to job requirements.-Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements-Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion-Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.-Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed. -Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.
