• Manage organization’s investments and operating strategy.• Oversee the implementation of risk management tools, such as hedging strategies and crop revenue insurance that consistently capture profit margins above the industry norm of 5 percent.• Advance and strengthen existing business partnerships with one of the largest crop and livestock production companies in the U.S that has driven productivity gains for the farm.

• Responsible for day-to-day political operations of the campaign, which included arranging media interviews, organizing events and implementing grassroots strategies. Such efforts resulted in Minnesota's most competitive primary race in 80 years.

• Created and implemented grassroots proposals for clients in entertainment, healthcare, and retail/service sectors consisting of message development, coalition building, employee engagement and media outreach. • Generated coverage for clients in major Twin Cities media outlets, including feature stories on Kare11 and KSTP and interviews on WCCO and Minnesota Public Radio. Wrote op-eds that appeared in the Star Tribune and Pioneer Press.

• Developed and implemented statewide coalition outreach efforts by recruiting over 750 leaders among such groups as Catholics, farmers, Jewish Americans, small business owners, sportsmen, veterans and women. • Coordinated over 50 coalition events and press conferences to ensure coverage by national, state and niche media markets.• Managed daily/weekly tasks of over 50 coalition and volunteer staff with an emphasis on volunteer recruitment and voter engagement.• Wrote blog posts on coalition activities and provided advice on communication strategy toward specific groups.

• Oversaw American Majority’s activities throughout the Midwest. Region included the following states: Illinois, Indiana Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.• Promoted organization’s vision by networking and communicating with region’s political leaders, grassroots organizations and media outlets.• Organized and conducted candidate and grassroots trainings throughout the region. The Minnesota office held 21 events. Total trained: 663 of which 137 were candidates in 2010. In terms of candidates this represents nearly a 35 percent increase over 2009 numbers. Of the 100 candidates trained in Minnesota that filed to run for office in 2010, 94 advanced to the general election. Overall, 42 trained candidates won their election.• Managed office’s new media initiatives through Facebook and Twitter. Wrote a weekly blog focused on engaging alumni and promoting American Majority’s mission to future attendees.

• Assisted the Committee in advising the President and U.S. Trade Ambassador on policies regarding current and pending trade agreements and negotiations. Visited China as part of ACTPN’s China Task Force.

• Recruited speakers by communicating Club’s vision through meetings with prospective speakers and staff. List of speakers included: Nobel Prize Economist, Secretary of Transportation, Ranking Member, U.S. House Budget Committee, and former head of the Government Accountability Office.

• Integrated constituency groups into campaign activities by personally recruiting over 250 leaders. Groups included chambers of commerce, farmers, labor unions, local government (mayors), small business owners, and veterans.• Wrote policy positions and developed relationships with key constituencies, led to endorsements from over 20 interest groups in the areas of agriculture, labor, law enforcement, and small business.• Coordinated over 200 public events and press conferences, nearly 20 letter to the editor initiatives and various human-interest stories in support of the Senator to be used in campaign ads.• Led initiatives in recount efforts that included recruiting volunteers and preparing exhibits and witness testimony.

• Led team efforts among state agencies in proposing and coordinating energy policy initiatives focused on reducing greenhouse gases that were adopted by the administration and proposed to the legislature.• Developed policy recommendations through boards and task forces to achieve state reductions in greenhouse gases of 15 percent by 2015, 30 percent by 2025 and 80 percent by 2050.

• Led legislative efforts relating to finance, agriculture, energy, environment, taxes, trade, and labor. • Crafted legislation that moved through House committees, was debated on House floor, and became law. Such legislation included protecting privacy while reducing regulatory burdens on Certified Public Accountants, increasing resources to combat bovine tuberculosis (TB) in cattle and expanding resources to improve conservation habitats.• Wrote speeches and assisted in communications.

• Coordinated 72-Hour GOTV Program in Minnesota’s 6th Congressional District.
