With seed funding from IIT-Delhi, I founded Tensor at the IIT-Delhi incubation centre.------Personalized Search and Recommendation Product:---------------------------------------------------This search technology was evaluated by the global Google M&A team. However, the acquisition discussions were inconclusive. I believe that even today, other than the Amazon recommendation engine which uses the A9 personalization technology, my product continues to be unique and superior.--------Language Transliteration Engine:--------------------------------Again a first, I created the capability to input text in a search box in any native Indian language. We used it for vernacular search and content writing on the web and to send vernacular SMS over the phone. It was used by companies like ibibo, zestadz and odisha.com.We also developed the world’s first technology to render any script on any Mobile phone; irrespective of device dependencies, thus enabling the sending of multilingual SMS even on low-cost feature phones without downloading fonts.The mobile product drew considerable attention from T9, Nuance and NOKIA for the innovation in vernacular input and display technologies. The company got acqui-hired by ValueFirst, India’s leading VAS provider, in 2008.During this time I was nominated for the prestigious WEF TechPioneers 2008 for creating proprietary technologies in Personalized Contextual Web Search and Mobile Transliteration.
