The longer you walk your journey of life, you will learn if something is meant for you, only you can take it.I love everything related to problem solving and building things. I will DIY in a heartbeat. So, when my employer first offered an opportunity to learn coding through a bootcamp, I was highly interested. I let fear stop me from applying. This is when I meet the coding enemy “Impostor Syndrome” for the first time. Months later, after seeing the graduating group of new coders, I made it a goal to take the initiative and apply if the opportunity came about again. That step forward to apply turned into a leap towards my new career as a Software Engineer.Today, I’m working as a Software Engineer with a great team at Comcast. I’m working on various tasks within my team so I can continue to learn and grow my brand, while expanding my knowledge of programming languages. I have been with my current employer for over 10 years, moving from within Customer Service to my most previous position at Corporate - as a Compliance Lead, where I assisted the legal team to prevent arbitrations and maintain customer approval. My newest role has been the most rewarding hands down!I’m familiar with a variety of programming languages, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Python, TypeScript, React, and AngularJS. My current goals are designed so I master the foundations of these languages and continue to add others as I travel along this new career adventure.
