I completed my PhD at the Water Research Centre (WRC) of UNSW. I am now affiliated with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes (CLEX) at the Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) of UNSW. I worked on a multidisciplinary project titled “Comprehensive bias correction of regional climate model boundary conditions for simulation of hydrologic extremes” to understand the science of extreme events at the regional scale. My focus is on developing bias correction alternatives for a regional climate model, utilising state-of-the-art global data to produce accurate and physically consistent outputs across multiple time scales at a fine spatiotemporal scale. My research aims to improve the regional climate model (RCM) simulation by correcting the lateral and lower boundary conditions, making them viable for decision-making and designing a future climate that ensures the simulation of sustained extremes (droughts and floods). The simulations arising from the proposed techniques improve the assessment of future water, food, and health security, helping us adapt to the changes.
