Innovative Design and Engineering Solutions, LLC is a licensed engineering firm in theCommonwealth of Kentucky. IDES provides engineering consultation services with focus oncontrol system design, product development, and rapid prototyping.

My main duties included: develop embedded software for hydraulic controls, create logic for new and existing controllers, develop and test complex algorithms, investigate field service issues and provide solutions, and support prototype and production to reduce waste and optimize output.

Team lead engineer for a small Kaizen group. I am responsible and highly involved in defect reduction in the manufacturing of electronic control units and hybrid battery applications. Other responsibilities include quality improvements to ensure the highest quality product is delivered to the customer. Improvements involve machine design and programming (starting from CAD to programming PLCs and computer based applications).Design and installation of technologically advanced vision systems to inspect products. Highly involved in improving machine uptime, process flow, and cycle time. I also support other manufacturing areas with continuous improvement projects such as: electronic throttle body, fuel systems (fuel pump and fuel rail) and injection molding. Utilize a standard problem solving method to effectively resolve issues.

Installation and initial set up of battery manufacturing equipment for state of the art lithium-ion batteries.

Print quality analysis. Printhead operation experiments. Printer toubleshooting and repairs. Research in mitigation of page to page ink transfer. Designing and prototyping for current and next generation products. Designing experiments to validate prototypes. I currently have one Patent Pending.

Main duties included setting up labs, assisting students with experiments,general maintenance of lab equipment, and grading students’ assignments.

Skills used for welding various metals including mild steel and aluminum. Fabricated and repaired custom vehicles and heavy equipment. Fabricated various projects.
