I was responsible for assisting the doctor with patient scheduling as well as other various front desk duties and communicating with insurance companies to submit claims, request information about patient coverage and collecting balances due. Being able to connect with patients face to face while knowing I was helping to ease their anxiety about dental work and understanding insurance felt great! I was also tasked with some marketing aspects of the business.

Help students register for courses for their first term, gather documents to submit files, customer service.In this position, I was one of the first people to interact with new students. My main goal was to help others who were interested in bettering themselves through education. University is not for everyone and I understand that it does not determine your value, so if someone decides he/she is not in the mindset for school, I'd help them make sure they were on the correct path to meet their goals. Having the experience of being a student myself helped me understand the intricacies of online learning that set me apart from other Enrollment Counselors. Helping others is the best feeling and something I look forward to with this line of work. I was approached by my long time dentist and asked if I would like to be a part of her team, so I left education to utilize my degree in Healthcare Administration and Management.

Assist potential students in changing their lives. This was my first experience as an Admissions Representative. I was previously on the other side of education as an instructor, but this would give me the experience of helping students decide where their career was headed and allowed a more steady schedule so I could also pursue my educational goals. I enjoyed working with students face to face. Here I formed many strong bonds that I still have today with colleagues and students. I worked extremely hard to show my integrity and I was invited to the Parthenon awards ceremony in Texas to receive an award. I left to work in a non-profit state school instead of the for-profit model.

Probably one of the toughest and most rewarding positions I have ever had, I LOVED teaching and felt my students were my family, not just a number. This opportunity taught me a lot about what direction I wanted to go in my future, how to build strong relationships and how to set boundaries. I left to start a new position that would allow me to pursue my own education as teaching consumes most of your day/night/weekend. I taught classes including: Massage Core (Swedish), Massage Variations (Deep Tissue), Reflexology, Hydrotherapy, First Aid/CPR (National Safety Council) and Professional Development I-IV. I still use these skills to this day.

Assist the instructor with teaching classes and grading. I was working as a massage therapist and at an art store when one of my former massage therapist instructors contacted me. She was looking for a teaching assistant for a couple of classes and remembered me from school. I loved this opportunity. It ignited a spark for teaching and helping others that I didn't realize I had. This was only a part-time position and I helped with a couple of evening classes, but it was a great experience and helped me get back into massage. I left this when I was offered a full-time teaching position with the school.

I really enjoyed this job! I met a lot of wonderful people with whom I am still connected, had fun helping customers with their creativity, learned a lot about sales and management and brushed up on my math skills. I will always have a little place in my heart for Aaron Brothers. I moved on because I was pursuing my Massage Therapy career, returned for a bit and left for good when I was offered a teaching position with massage.
