AchievementsDuring the departure preparations at the port of Hamburg, the main engine encountered a startup issue, raising concerns about potential costs due to departure delays. A swift response was crucial with only 50 minutes left on the official departure schedule. Thanks to the collective efforts of my team, we promptly identified the root cause of the problem. Upon investigation, it was revealed that 2 out of 3 fuel valves mounted on the main engine cylinder were malfunctioning, with the discovery of a broken compression spring in one of the fuel valves. Without hesitation, I proceeded to replace the faulty components with maintained fuel valves, completing the emergency project within a 40-minute timeframe. As a result, the vessel was able to depart as scheduled, preventing any unexpected financial burdens on the company.

AchievementsI encountered a loud noise and malfunction in one of the power generators and promptly reported it to the chief engineer. I initiated a project to diagnose and address the issue, receiving valuable support from the team throughout the process. Through careful examination, the root cause of the problem was located in the exhaust system of the generator head and over three days, I diligently worked to resolve the issue, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Acknowledged by the chief engineer for completing the project ahead of schedule, showcasing dedication and efficiency. I was subsequently rewarded with a promotion to 1st Engineer within a month, recognising contributions and expertise in problem-solving and leadership.
