I was brought onboard as an Executive Administrator to efficiently manage and lead the department managers. Switch-It-Up Inc. was still considered a start-up company that fortunately grew faster than its legs could keep up! This is where I saw the need for an HR department. I was determined to initiate and build them an HR department from the ground up! From creating and formatting documents for current and future hires, to creating job descriptions for every position within the company, to professionally posting new job alerts, Switch-It-Up Inc. now has a fully functioning, professional, compliant, and seamless HR Department.

While I was an Intelligence Specialist with Patrol Squadron FOUR (VP-4), my Command Master Chief at the time was a Bubblehead! His entire career was spent on submarines, and he was a mentor and role model to me throughout my tenure with VP-4. While at this command, the Enlisted Women in Submarines (EWIS) program was initiated and struck my interest. I was already a determined Sailor who wanted to pave the future for women in uniform, so I applied! I was accepted and immediately began my new path to becoming a woman submariner.Upon completing Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) and required training to be an Electronics Technician, all as an Honor Graduate, I checked into my new command, the USS MICHGAN (SSGN 727 Gold). As a Communications Electronics Technician, I qualified as an Electronic Surveillance Measures equipment operator. Due to reasons beyond my control, I was transferred to USS OHIO (SSGN 726 Blue) where I qualified in Submarine Warfare and earned my Dolphins. This insignia signifies expertise in submarine operations and systems. During this time, a medical condition that would no longer allow me to be forward deployed, forced my medical retirement from military service.

Upon graduating as the honor graduate of my bootcamp division in 2011, I went on to complete schooling to become a Naval Intelligence Specialist and Imagery Analyst, where I was top in my class of both schools.At my first command, VP-4, I was part of a team that generated and delivered over 400 mission essential intelligence briefs and produced over 400 post mission products which directly influenced Fleet Commander decisions in the execution of vital missions to national security. Additionally, I was the direct assistant to the Security Manager where I developed and implemented security policies, protocols, and procedures for the Information Security Program, developed and delivered command training on various topics for over 700 personnel, managed the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) for personnel security clearances, and safeguarded 10 General Services Administration (GSA) Class 6 safes containing classified data. After the 2012 RIMPAC Exercise, and two deployments to 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet AOR's, I earned my Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Insignia which is awarded to personnel who qualify in aviation warfare, demonstrating knowledge in aviation systems, slight operations, and aircraft maintenance.At NIOC Hawaii, I was part of a cyber-intelligence team that provided essential support to military operations and enhanced national security through advanced intelligence and cyber capabilities. I provided real-time intelligence to Fleet and Joint Commanders to enhance the effectiveness of naval operations. I underwent rigorous training to stay at the forefront of technology and cyber operations and collaborated with other military branches, intelligence agencies, and international partners to enhance information sharing and operational effectiveness. I earned my Information Warfare Insignia which is awarded to personnel who qualify in information warfare, demonstrating expertise in cyber operations, signals intelligence, and electronic warfare.
