After a re-education of a year at the Royal Dutch Navy Youri decided that the skills gained in his military career could be very useful on his (civilian) technical career-path. At this point the switch was made towards the Industrial Design Engineering faculty at the Delft University of Technology, where both a Bachelors and Masters degree are obtained. Ever since Youri has been playing an active role in the energy transition, working over 8.5 years on delivering the best EV charging experience to the market. My name is Youri, born in 1990, and I have a passion for people and technology. I am a creative and active person who likes to engage in multi-faceted challenges and I gain a lot of energy of getting my hands dirty and jumping in complex situations. While doing so I like to oversee all aspects from a helicopter-view, before diving in deep. I characterize myself as a team player who likes to take on responsibility and guide a group to the best result possible. I have a broad spectrum of interest, creativity in technology, the interaction between a user and a product and sustainability specifically appeal to my imagination. I am a versatile millepede with a never-ending hunger. I don't stop when I'm tired, I stop when I'm done. As a visual thinker and a person who has a general tendency to day dream you will probably see me drawing on a piece of paper or find me engaged in a discussion about how to make elephants fly or how to sell ice cream to a polar bear. Right after getting my both feet back on the earth again I'd like to explore the solution space to make both things mentioned before happen (I'm still looking for the best answer, so if you got some ideas - hit me up!).In my current position I am responsible for constructing the vision and strategy for our most vast Segment: the Business Segment. With demonstrated experience in end-to-end product and portfolio development I engage as easily and happily with board-level colleagues as with customers, suppliers, government and everybody and everything in between.Next to my job I like to ride my bike (on track or on holiday in for example the Italian Dolomites) and explore the world. I practice a variety of sports and love playing the piano.
