As the Development Manager for the Coastal Virginia Region, I secured and developed event participants, fundraising teams, local honorees, local event sponsorship, key volunteer leadership, and volunteers for the popular 5K Jingle Bell Runs and other local events. This role also included heavy stewardship and cultivation of existing constituents to maximize their fundraising. In my tenure, I increased my territory's revenue over 100% and our 5K race was the top revenue grossing 5K race in the state of Virginia.

Norfolk, Virginia Area

As the Women's Leadership Council Director, I was the lead director for:all community grants, board of directors and key volunteers, annual luncheon which hosts over 900 local women philanthropists and raises $300,000, bi-annual newsletter, community volunteer activities, $1.5 million endowment fund, and $1 million dollar Sentara Healthcare United Way campaign.

As the Sr. Director of Corporate Relations for the Hampton Roads Area in Virginia, I was the lead for the Hampton Roads Heart Walk (two annual fundraising walks raising $850,000), manager of over 2,000 volunteers, donors, business and philathropic local executives and leaders. Leader of all community events, marketing efforts, and manager of two staff.

Norfolk, Virginia Area

As an American Heart Association Youth Market Director, my responsibility was to manage and grow the Virginia/NC Coastal territory and achieve a $625,000 annual goal. Each year, I service over 200 schools through our educational based, community service fundraising programs: Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart. Those two educational, fundraising programs are designed to assist physical educators, school administrators, and families in the ability to learn and prevent cardiovascular disease and stroke. My skill set includes, but not limited to: implementing and executing fundraising programs within an educational environment, cultivating customers, donors, schools, and community leaders.

Portsmouth, Virginia

As an Account Executive for New Business Development for WGNT UPN 27 TV, I was accountable for cultivating and maintain new customers, businesses, and executives to advertise on the television station. In addition, I managed over 40 new customers in my first year, generating over $250,000 new dollars for WGNT. My responsibilities included proving excellent customer service to new and existing customers and speaking with business owners about advertising and television promotion.

As an Account Executive for Lilley Marketing and Public Relations, I was responsible for generating press and exposure for our clients. In addition, my tasks also included writing press releases, creating promotional giveaways, contacting the press, pitching story ideas, working on media buys, creating newsletters, and event planning. Our major clients included: 7-Eleven, Gateway Bank, Newport News Greek Festival, Gold Key Resorts, Beach Ford, Autec, and Alantec Bank .
