I completed my Ph.D. degree in the clinical epidemiology field from one of the best universities of Iran, named the “Iran University of Medical Sciences”, located in Tehran. I succeeded in getting funds from this university for supporting my Ph.D. Since 2015, I have been gaining experience and knowledge in various fields of clinical and pure sciences (Non-Communicable Diseases like Gynecology and Obstetrics, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cancers, Diabetes, Psychological Disorders, and Infectious Diseases like Antimicrobial Resistance and Bacterial Infectious Diseases, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and others) using special methods like Data Synthesis (Global Burden of Diseases, Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis, Network Meta-Analysis, Diagnostic Meta-Analysis, Development of Guidelines), Molecular or Genetics Epidemiology (like Multilocus Sequence Typing), and Modelling (like Causal Models and Mathematical Models). I have extensively networked with colleagues and researchers in different countries (primarily Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and USA) and famous organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO), UNAIDS, UNDP, and Cochrane to do research about various diseases in my country by getting grants. Also, in the past few years, I have conducted research with various methods in the Iranian key population like Men who have sex with men (MSM), Female Sex Workers (FSWs), and Transgenders (TGs). Often, these studies were funded by WHO, UNAIDS, or the Iranian Ministry of Health. In these studies, I investigated psychological behaviors, high-risk behaviors such as alcohol or drug use, and unprotected sexual behaviors in these groups. I have been involved in these projects as the main or co-main investigator. I have gained the ability and experience in designing, conducting, and managing various medical and clinical research projects especially Randomized Control Trials, and I can do macro- and micro-management of a clinical research center to conduct research. Also, I can design and conduct research which leads to practical and effective results for patients, communities, and health policy makers. Many of the clinical research leading to the development of effective therapeutics and public health interventions for the treatment or prevention of human diseases begin in clinical or public health research centers with epidemiological studies like community clinical trials, randomized control trials, cohorts or case-control studies.
