Youssef Mohammed Youssef, an Assistant Professor of applied Geology at Geological and Geophysical Engineering Department, Suez University, born in 1988. He received his PhD degree in Geology from joint scholarship between Suez University and University of Tsukuba in 2022. In 2018, he joined Sugita's hydrology lab as a PhD research fellow under a joint scholarship between the University of Tsukuba (Japan) and Ministry of Higher Education (Egypt). He does research in remote sensing, GIS (MCDA, bivariate, and Machine learning) modelling, and applied geophysics to improve our knowledge of the geoenvironmental (groundwater depletion and pollution) issues and geohazards (Floods, rockfall, and groundwater rising) in stressed regions under anthropic activities and climatic changes. My research seeks to establish a low-cost integration of remote sensing, GIS and geophysical approaches to improve mitigation plans.
