Youssef studied Electrical Engineering, Film and New Media at the New York University in Abu Dhabi. Attending a high school in Egypt, followed by eight semesters at NYU Abu Dhabi, a semester at the Tandon School of Engineering in New York and a semester at NYU Sydney have all projected Youssef to a diverse and immersive educational experience.Be it from initiating the GCC’s first Model Arab League conference, representing NYU Abu Dhabi at the Global Leadership Summit in Shanghai, conducting research on 5G in New York, filming and directing his first documentary in Zanzibar or recording an album and performing all around the world with his band. Youssef’s experiences as an undergraduate were very different in terms of the problems, the challenges faced or the solutions proposed. What they all had in common, however, was teaching him how to adapt to new environments, work with culturally diverse teams, efficiently manage his time and workload as well as develop strategies that make a noticeable difference both in his community and around the world. Youssef's time at NYU Abu Dhabi gave him the opportunity to travel around the world and gain the essential experience of diversified cultural awareness.
