Valeo Graduation Project Mentorship: Designed advanced driving assistance system ADAS using OpenCV and YOLOV8 for pedestrian detection, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control. Customized a Yocto image for the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Devkit using bash scripting and Linux shell commands, Integrated sensor fusion algorithms combined data from camera and RP LiDAR A1, using Kalman filtering and probabilistic fusion to enhance object detection and tracking accuracy, used FreeRTOS and STM32 ARM microcontroller for real-time tasks, scheduling, and synchronization. Designed a hierarchical state machine architecture to manage vehicle actuators (DC motors, servo motors) and handle fault states efficiently. Utilized the Robot Operating System (ROS) framework for integration and modular development, communication between various components of the ADAS system.

During the training period I got to learn how to program the S7-1200 PLC to control manufacturing processes such as assembly lines, machines, robotic devices, or any activity that requires high reliability, ease of programming, and process fault diagnosis.In the training period I wrote a ladder program to control a conveyor belt, i utilized I/O ports, counters, timers, positive/negative triggers, set/reset functions to make a fully automated process.
