Hey there, I'm Youssef.Born and raised in Morocco, I was lucky enough to travel the world as a young child and spend many of my holidays in breathtaking countries and beautiful hotels. Feeling this strong connection to the hospitality industry, I moved to the amazing city of Amsterdam at the age of 18 to pursue a business degree in hospitality management at Hotelschool The Hague. During those 4 formative years, I learnt so much about that world, but more so about myself, what it meant to be an adult, found new passions and rekindled old ones. As someone who's extremely excited about the future, I have since then immersed myself completely in the world of emerging tech and fell in love with software engineering and the ability to create products from scratch. Being entrepreneurially minded, my goal is to leverage my business background with the necessary technical skills to launch something that has the potential to revolutionise the world. Yes, I know it sounds cliché, but I genuinely believe that we are all capable of great things. Truth is, not everyone is willing to put themselves out there, take risks, and sacrifice short-term gratification for long-term goals. That won't be me.Keep an eye out, I might just surprise you 😉

Director Of Special Projects (Growth & Marketing)Meld Jan 2023 - Nov 2023Remoteyear 2 was even more insane than year 1 but here's the TLDR:1. literally signed the transactions that launched the MELD Blockchain and setup the liquidity pools for the new $MELD token. that was one crazy week in Barcelona with ledgers flying all over the place and a memory i truly cherish. 2. hired so many talented people and had to sadly let go of many more. had to cut staff by 40% at one point, one of the hardest things i've had to do so far in my professional life.3. led a full… Show more year 2 was even more insane than year 1 but here's the TLDR:1. literally signed the transactions that launched the MELD Blockchain and setup the liquidity pools for the new $MELD token. that was one crazy week in Barcelona with ledgers flying all over the place and a memory i truly cherish. 2. hired so many talented people and had to sadly let go of many more. had to cut staff by 40% at one point, one of the hardest things i've had to do so far in my professional life.3. led a full airdrop & growth campaign from ideation to execution which got us 50k signups in 3 months for our main product. Once of my proudest achievements and biggest learning moments of the year.4. did i mention NFTs? yeah a lot of NFTs.5. launched and revamped affiliate & ambassador programs respectively and turned it into something that was actually half decent. managed payments, meetings and a community ~20 ambassadors and 2k affiliates.6. last but not least, took any opportunity that presented itself for technical work including building bots, api integrations, landing pages and anything that involved coding as i slowly fell in love with software engineering Show less
