WHAT IS YPF?Young Planners Forum YPF is a group for young planning professionals. The group was established in September, 2011 to enable young planners to establish social and professional relationships both locally and globally. YPF’s focus is to help planning students and young professional planners to develop through career building programs, social events, networking and mentoring opportunities which are organised from time to time. The group also provides the platform for young and energetic planners to get involved in Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), the parent body.VISIONYPF was established to promote Learning and Inculcate Professionalism into the Young Planner.MISSIONYPF operates within the contest of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) therefore all the objectives of the group are entrenched in the NITP constitution.The objectives of the YPF are as follows;To advance the planning profession through effective utilisation of the dynamism and strength of the young planners.To promote the role of young planners within the planning profession.To encourage interactions between planning students, graduate and registered planners.To strengthen the relationship between young planners and seasoned professionals.To expand the knowledge of members with regards contemporary planning issues.BENEFITSBecoming a member of YPF offers many direct and indirect benefits.
