About Pooi Ling Yeow

I've spent more than 17 years in the area of communications, that include financial journalism, corporate communications, public relations, strategic communications, brand management as well as investor relations. In my current role, I’ve expanded my portfolio to include strategy, digital transformation, digital product management and digital marketing. My experience and background have definitely equipped me to be a more confident person, with the ability to work independently as well as a team member. I work well under tight deadlines. I'm an expert in delivering messages proficiently in presentation and writing, backed by substantial years in financial journalism, across a wide range of sectors including financial and capital markets, aviation, automotive, telecommunications, plantation, construction and property as well as oil and gas. Previous content writing include financial news articles, annual reports statements of listed companies, press releases, event speeches, brochures, newsletters, company announcements, economic reports and content for websites. I've also completed editing assignments of academic research reports. I’ve contributed to travel websites and magazines.My key communication skills include building media relations, developing strategic media plans, event organising, issues management and stakeholder engagement. The 10-week programme was full of exploration of the media world and the various players, and meeting different individuals who try to make a difference as a journalist.
