As an Integration Engineer at Lokyata, I’ve been responsible for taking care of client onboardings, from sandbox environments to live production systems. This involves coordinating with both clients and third-party service providers. Clear communication and sticking to deadlines have been key to keeping everyone aligned and on track.A big part of my job is taking client requirements and turning them into tasks for the development team. This can be tricky, especially when the business needs are complex, but I break them down into technical specifications, like building REST API connectors to meet their needs. I also handled an internal migration for one of our major clients, making sure everything worked smoothly after the transition.On top of that, I’ve worked on developing internal features for the team or clients as needed, while keeping detailed documentation of client-specific requirements and processes. I’ve also documented our products for third-party service providers to make sure integration goes smoothly.I’ve been hands-on with monitoring and testing API integrations and new features, always aiming to prevent any issues from affecting live clients. This approach helps keep everything stable and running efficiently.

During my internship, I was tasked with developing an internal tool for the data-curation team. This involved developing a web scraper which was dynamic, and customizable. The tool took care of data normalization for multiple Indian languages. It was deployed on Kubeflow as a Docker Image.

My internship involved working on an already-huge product. The problems the team faced was documentation, and maintaining a requirements for their library. My work was writing a tool that could parse their existing code, and generate a requirements.txt, along with proper documentation, pagelinks, install commands for the libraries. It was a combination of web scraping and text parsing.

HelioPy was a fairly new open source library. The entire codebase used Pandas, but as it was a part of AstroPy organization, it was better to use AstroPy's native data management library, TimeSeries. It was based on Pandas, but with an addition of its ability to preserve units. My work involved migrating the entire codebase from Pandas to TimeSeries. I additionally worked on developing API connectors, Web-Scrapers to fetch data from various observatories' websites.
